macOS setup
Required Permissions
macOS will not allow screen sharing or remote control until the support app has been granted privacy permissions. Complete the steps below after installing the Minerva Elite remote support app.
1. Install
- Open
minervaelite-remotesupport-arm64.dmg. - Drag the app to Applications.
- Open it from Applications. If blocked, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and allow it to open.
2. Screen Recording
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording.
- Enable the Minerva Elite/RustDesk support app.
- Quit and reopen the app when prompted.
3. Accessibility
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
- Enable the Minerva Elite/RustDesk support app.
- If it is not listed, press + and select it from Applications.
4. Input Monitoring
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring.
- Enable the app if keyboard or mouse control is not working.
- Restart the support app after changing this setting.
Troubleshooting
- Remove and re-add the app in the permission list if access still fails.
- Quit and reopen the support app after each permission change.
- Restart the Mac if macOS does not apply the permission immediately.
Security reminder: only approve a support session you initiated or expected.
