Use Outlook in a web browser
Access a Microsoft 365 mailbox from a browser while desktop or mobile applications are being reconfigured.
- Open a private browser window if you recently changed organisation.
This prevents an old Microsoft session from automatically selecting the previous tenant.
- Go to Outlook on the web.
Use https://outlook.office.com.
- Enter your full work email address.
If Microsoft displays an old or unfamiliar account, select Use another account.
- Enter your current password and approve MFA.
Complete the Authenticator prompt shown on your phone.
Before a scheduled migration cutover: a destination mailbox may contain pre-staged data but may not yet be the live mailbox. Continue using the service identified by your organisation until cutover is confirmed.
Wrong organisation or unfamiliar address?
If Microsoft changes your sign-in to an unfamiliar address ending in onmicrosoft.com, do not keep retrying. Take a screenshot that does not expose a password or QR code, then contact support.
